Charter Pricing

There are several ways of chartering a yacht and different pricing structures for charter yachts.

The pricing is determined by the type of yacht, the period you would like to charter the yacht and the way you

choose to use the yacht.

The size and style of your yacht -yes, it is your yacht during the period you will hire the yacht- is the most

important prcing factor. As you might also know, there are so many alternatives when you want to hire a yacht

for a cruising vacation. You might want to charter a small size motor boat or a sailing yacht for a bareboat or

skippered charter holiday, or you might be looking for a luxury mega yacht for a business event, a special

celebration/anniversary, etc.

The period you would like to charter a boat has also an effect on the price. The seasons are generally named in

Turkey as “early/low” (April-May), “middle” (June-September), “high” (July-August) and “late” (October-

November). The prices are the highest during high seasons in Turkey.

Motor yacht or sailing yacht bareboat or skippered charter rates never include the costs like fuel, food,

drinks, transit log, harbour fees and airport transfers. These are always extra. The prices include the boat, boat

insurance and base marina fees.

If you do not have a skipper’s license or if you are not experienced enough for bareboat chartering, you can

always hire a skipper to accompany you during your trip. The skipper fees are extra and added on top of the

boat’s price on a daily rate. This type of boat rentals is called “Skippered charters”.

There is quite a wide range of crewed motor yacht charters as there are so many alternatives of such charter

yachts.

You can rent a 3-cabin motor yacht with a reasonable daily or weekly price or you can hire a very large fully

crewed mega yacht at a much higher cost.

With luxury crewed motor yacht charter, the prices usually include the yacht, crew wages and boat insurance

and for the other expenses, APA is applied: (Advanced Provisioning Allowance - It means that the estimated cost

for expenses are extra and paid by the charter client prior to the charter date. It covers the costs like fuel for

engines, provisioning for guests & crew, airport transfers, land tours, marina fees, harbour fees and taxes, land

tours, etc. All the expenses are listed in detail for client's view. Expenses exceeding APA are the sole responsibility

of the charterer.)

Private gulet charter pricing is quite similar to crewed motor yacht charter pricing. The pricing mainly depend

on the year built, size, number of cabins, category (standard – luxury – deluxe), yacht with or without air-

conditioning and again, the charter period affects the pricing a lot.

You can rent in August a standard category motor sailer (traditional Turkish gulet) with no air-conditioning,

at a very reasonable price. Then your yacht is not a luxury one, but you will have everything you need:

Comfortable cabins with en-suite WC/showers, good service, good food, fun and an an unforgettable blue cruise

along the turquoise coasts of Turkey. The prices of such yachts are also the highest in August which is the most

popular month for gulet charters, but still much lower than the deluxe class gulets’ prices.

On the other hand, you can hire a deluxe category gulet which offers you more luxury than a 5* hotel’s, but, of

course, the cost will be higher accordingly.

The private gulet charter prices will include the yacht, crew, diesel and harbour fees and port taxes. Food and

drinks, fuel for water toys, private marina fees, airport transfers and land tours are extra.

A cabin charter holiday is the cheapest way of experiencing a blue cruise along the Turkish Mediterranean

and Aegean coast. The reason why the prices are more reasonable is that standard category gulets are used

for this type of charter and the cabins are rented out separately. In this case, the weekly cost of the whole

charter is shared by all the guests who participate the trip. Otherwise, the yachts are in very good condition and

delicious food is served during the week.
